Gatekeep (gatekeep.live) is a digital material gate-pass service for factories, warehouses and worksites. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written for India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Demo requests — the name, company and mobile number you type into “Book a demo”, so we can contact you about Gatekeep. The same details open in WhatsApp for you to send to us.
- Staff accounts — for people a site adds to Gatekeep: name, email, role, site and gate, and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself).
- Gate passes — what a site records about material movements: items, party, vehicle number, approvals, gate movements and returns, and who did each step.
- Carriers — if a site sends a pass to a driver or vendor, the mobile number it was sent to. Carriers never create an account.
Cookies
We use only what the service needs: a sign-in cookie for staff. No advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics.
How we use it
To run the service for the site that uses it, to send pass links and notifications you ask for, to keep the service secure, and to reply to demo requests. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
The app is hosted on Vercel and data is stored in a Neon Postgres database, both in the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore). Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Messages you choose to send over WhatsApp or SMS are handled by those services under their own policies.
How long we keep it
Gate-pass records are kept for as long as the site uses Gatekeep, because they are its audit trail. Demo requests are kept for up to 12 months. When a site stops using Gatekeep, we delete its data on request.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent you gave us (for example, for a demo request). If you are staff at a site using Gatekeep, your site owner can also update or remove your account.
